FUJIFILM Corporation has announced the launch of the latest model of its mirrorless digital camera GFX series, the FUJIFILM GFX100S II, equipped with a large format sensor approximately 1.7 times larger than a 35mm full-frame sensor. With powerful IBIS and high-precision AF, it brings unparalleled image quality even closer.
The GFX100S II comes with a newly developed 102MP high-speed sensor, the GFX 102MP CMOS II, and the latest high-speed image processing engine, the X-Processor 5, all housed within a compact body weighing approximately 883g including battery and memory card. This mirrorless digital camera, which is the lightest of the GFX series, allows photographers to easily enjoy an extraordinary level of image quality.
The GFX100S II not only offers rich tonal expression and three-dimensional rendering capabilities, made possible by the unique characteristics of the large format sensor, but it also features AI-based subject detection, greatly evolving from its predecessor, the FUJIFILM GFX100S.
With its fast and highly precise AF and improved continuous shooting speed of up to 7.0 frames per second, it can accurately capture moving subjects like never before. The in-body image stabilisation (IBIS) function has also been enhanced, achieving a maximum of eight-stop five-axis performance, the best in its series. With these features packed into a lightweight and compact body, photographers can enjoy the extraordinary image quality of GFX in a wide range of scenes.
In terms of video performance, users can shoot vibrant and smooth 4K/30P videos, allowing for high-quality video production.
The GFX100S II provides not only professional photographers, but also hobbyists who want to explore the world of large format photography, with overwhelming image rendering capabilities and improved mobility.
The GFX100S II has an indicative price of $9699 (body only) and can be purchased in black from authorised FUJIFILM dealers nationwide.
