D-Link’s Omna 180 Cam HD (DSH-C310) has been selected as a winner of the 2018 “Home Security Camera Product of the Year” award from IoT Breakthrough, an independent organisation that recognises the top companies, technologies and products in the global Internet-of-Things (IoT) market today.
D-Link ANZ MD Graeme Reardon said, “Omna winning this award is a great honour for D-Link. The fact that it was the industry’s first Apple HomeKit compatible Wi-Fi camera, comes feature-packed and is compatible with both iOS and Android devices, makes it the ideal IoT home monitoring solution.”
The IoT Breakthrough Awards program recognises innovators, leaders and visionaries from around the globe in a range of IoT categories, including Connected Home and Home Automation, Connected Car, Industrial and Enterprise IoT, Smart City technology, and many more.
This year’s program attracted more than 3,000 nominations from companies all over the world. All nominations were reviewed and evaluated by an independent panel of experts within the IoT industry, with the highest scored nomination selected as winner for each category.
“The Connected Home market experienced exponential growth in the past year, and connected cameras and security solutions were largely driving that impressive growth,” said James Johnson, managing director, IoT Breakthrough. “Congratulations to D-Link for delivering a ‘breakthrough’ connected home security camera with an impressively rich feature list, combined with an aesthetically compelling product design. We are thrilled to recognise D-Link as a standout 2018 IoT Breakthrough Award winner.”
The Omna 180 Cam HD delivers a robust set of features for peace of mind while away from home – including a wide-angle lens for wall-to-wall coverage in crisp 1080p Full HD, two-way audio and night vision. Users can also view locally saved video clips via the microSD card slot for affordable surveillance with no monthly fees.
